New and Improved Jaguar

Jaguar XF SV8

Pre-review directly made in the USA before road tested in Japan

Identity :
Replacing the S-Type, Jaguar is releasing one of the most surprising cars in its history: The XF. While the future owner of the famous British manufacturer is still unknown (rumors include Indian giant TATA), it appears Jaguar has already turned the page and is focusing on the future with this brand new car.

Headlines :
4.2l Supercharged V8, 416 hp.
4.96m long, 1842 kg.
Semi-auto gearbox with paddles.
0 to 100 km/h : 5’’4,
Top speed : 250 km/h ( electronically limited ).
Price : 81 100 €

Design :
Continuity and classicism are terms that Jaguar fans know well. This time, designer Ian Callum decided not to follow these rules and created a car styled drastically different from what we're used to. Massive, solid, polished, the XF is remarkable and renovates the manufacturer's image.

Interior :
Refinement, elegance, simplicity of the lines, the interior is resolutely modern. The ignition gives you the feeling of sitting in a first class private jet, while the seats offer excellent comfort up to the level of the category leaders.

On the road :
In Normal or Sport mode, the XF focuses on comfort. The soft suspension will take care of your back instead of providing real sporty sensations. The general handling is excellent though, and the supercharged V8 is combined with a very quick semi-automatic gearbox.

Last words :
The XF symbolizes the revival of Jaguar in terms of design and attractivity. Providing great comfort and pleasure behind the wheel, this new luxury sedan still benefits from a classy image and adds a new weapon against its rivals: originality! The Jaguar that we all have been waiting for.

Other versions :
2.7l BiTurbo Diesel V6 207 hp = 48 900 €
3.0l V6 238 hp = 48 900 €
4.2l V8 298 hp = 63 900 €
