In collaboration with Pininfarina, Girard-Perregaux has combined the excellence of a timepiece with an extraordinary motor car, personalizing one of its complication watches – the Vintage 1945 Tourbillon with gold bridge - and incorporating it in a unique Rolls Royce Hyperion, unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours this week-end. This detachable timepiece not only fit in the vehicle's dashboard, but can also adorn the wrist of its owner. Thanks to a sophisticated system of spring balls, it can be easily extracted from its alligator strap and clipped onto the dashboard. It'ss held in a support shaped like the Tourbillon cage, which is also the signature of the Girard-Perregaux brand. Its white gold case, with its pure lines inspired by a watch from 1945, houses a Tourbillon with gold bridge. It's perfectly tailored to Hyperion, up to the dial colours that match the bodywork. By integrating the transponder circuit into the body of the watch, Jaeger-LeCoultre has created a timepiece that is entirely functional yet discrete, a masterpiece of miniaturisation and engineering that not only functions as a chronograph but as a key, making it the ultimate accessory for the ultimate sports car. Ferrari and Panerai Unveil a New Watch Collection at the British International Motor Show
Ferrari Engineered by Officine Panerai Watch Collection Debuts at the British International Motor Show Time and Sport: An all Italian fusion: Ferrari Engineered by Officine Panerai is delighted to announce its debut at the British International Motor Show. The collection of high-end watches from the luxury Italian watch brand Officine Panerai will be on public display for the first time at this year's 'Ultimate Collection' at the ExCeL Centre in Docklands. This new brand, which debuted in Geneva at the Hotel Beau Rivag, was founded by Steven Holtzman the ex-distributor for Roger Dubuis in North America. It will feature timepieces created by Christophe Claret, Roger Dubuis and Peter Speake-Marin. Their first model is the Chapter One. It’s a world’s first combination of complications with tourbillon, mono-pusher chronograph, retrograde date, retrograde GMT, and two idiosyncratic rolling bars at 6 o’clock and 12 o’clock, indicating the day of the week and phase of the moon, respectively. 430hp Mustang to be given away at a Nightshift tour event

Valvoline, VeilSide and Roush have teamed up to build the Valvoline Mustang GT-V to be given away at the Miami Nightshift , December 20th. The 430 hp custom vehicle was built by automotive stylist, RJ de Vera and is valued at approximately $60,000. The car will tour the Nightshift events throughout the year giving people an opportunity to submit entries to win the car. The Valvoline Roush Mustang features the VeilSide D1GT model aero kit including a light weight hood, front bumper, side skirts, door panels a rear bumper and air funnels. The car also features a 427R engine package with polished supercharger, coil-overs from H&R Springs, wheels from Volk Racing, a Diamond audio sound system, custom suede interior by Street Concepts and numerous other performance and styling parts. “Once again, RJ has built a great car and we are proud to be part of another great Valvoline vehicle giveaway”, said Ray Fong, vice president of Sales and Marketing, VeilSide USA.

According to de Vera, the project planner for the giveaway vehicle, “The overall theme developed for the Mustang GT-V was ‘Modern yet Classic’. Since we were hoping to bridge the gap between different car enthusiasts we decide to create a fusion between the young tuner performance oriented and aggressive ethos with that of classic American muscle feel. I believe we succeeded in producing an automobile that any car nut would love to have in his garage. I am excited to see who wins this sweepstakes vehicle.”

Contestants can enter the Valvoline Challenge online by testing their automotive knowledge. In addition to the quiz, contestants will need to submit a picture of their car and provide a brief description about why they deserve the Mustang. At the final Nightshift event, five winners from the Valvoline Challenge will be given keys of which, one will start the car. Submissions for entries will be accepted until October 21st 2008.
