Louis Moinet is proud to present what many experts already consider to be one of the world’s finest tourbillons. The unique VERTALIS model features an innovative aesthetic concept distinguished by a modern and original blend of technology and design. As its name implies, the difference here is all about verticality: VERTALIS intensifies the magic of the tourbillon by connecting its carriage to the barrel by means of a hand-drawn and bevelled vertical bar. To add to the fascinating vision of the tourbillon carriage in motion, VERTALIS offers an openworked version of the barrel. The latter’s cover performs an average rotation in 6 hours and enables one to keep visual check on the power reserve according to the state of wind of the barrel spring. Louis Moinet displays its determination to combine aesthetic and technical aspects, particularly through the vertical bar that showcases the technology of the watch, while extending over onto the case. This original and modern way of uniting displays, technology and casing is directly inspired by the historical world of Louis Moinet, and especially by some of the drawings published in his famous Traité d’Horlogerie in 1848. LIMITED EDITION OF 12 Crafted in a limited edition of 12, the exclusive VERTALIS tourbillon movement is hand-wound and beats at a cadence of 21,600 vibrations per hour. One particularly striking technical characteristic is the spectacular visibility of the winding mechanism through the case-back. The “octopus” spring plays three roles by acting as pull-out piece spring, lever spring and click spring. VERTALIS is presented in an exceptional new case composed of 50 different parts. It highlights the union of two gold colours: the warm shade of 5N rose gold, and the white gold that accentuates and pursues the geometrical effect of the vertical bar. The dial features “Côtes du Jura”® against a black background enhanced with rose gold hour-markers. The case is also equipped with the Louis Moinet crown guard, incorporating the stem in such a way as to enable easy replacement if required (patent pending). Girard-Perregaux, Rolls Royce, Pininfarina
In collaboration with Pininfarina, Girard-Perregaux has combined the excellence of a timepiece with an extraordinary motor car, personalizing one of its complication watches – the Vintage 1945 Tourbillon with gold bridge - and incorporating it in a unique Rolls Royce Hyperion, unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours this week-end. This detachable timepiece not only fit in the vehicle's dashboard, but can also adorn the wrist of its owner. Thanks to a sophisticated system of spring balls, it can be easily extracted from its alligator strap and clipped onto the dashboard. It'ss held in a support shaped like the Tourbillon cage, which is also the signature of the Girard-Perregaux brand. Its white gold case, with its pure lines inspired by a watch from 1945, houses a Tourbillon with gold bridge. It's perfectly tailored to Hyperion, up to the dial colours that match the bodywork. Crafted exclusively for owners of the Aston Martin DBS, the AMVOX2 DBS Transponder is yet another example that demonstrates the design and engineering collaboration between these two long-established companies; both leaders in their respective fields and partners since 2004. By integrating the transponder circuit into the body of the watch, Jaeger-LeCoultre has created a timepiece that is entirely functional yet discrete, a masterpiece of miniaturisation and engineering that not only functions as a chronograph but as a key, making it the ultimate accessory for the ultimate sports car. Bang & Olufsen to Supply Mercedes-AMG Sound Systems

Ferrari and Panerai Unveil a New Watch Collection at the British International Motor Show
Ferrari Engineered by Officine Panerai Watch Collection Debuts at the British International Motor Show Time and Sport: An all Italian fusion: Ferrari Engineered by Officine Panerai is delighted to announce its debut at the British International Motor Show. The collection of high-end watches from the luxury Italian watch brand Officine Panerai will be on public display for the first time at this year's 'Ultimate Collection' at the ExCeL Centre in Docklands. Housed in a 47mm case, this new chronograph from TAG Heuer will be available in October. Movement is the Calibre S: Electro-Mechanical Chronograph exclusively patented by TAG Heuer. It can measure time up to 1/100th of a second. The crystal is AR-coated sapphire and it is water resistant to 100 meters. (...)

Geneva 2008: TECHART Magnum with powerful performance

Technology and design form the corner stones of the 20-year long history of renowned car enhancement company TECHART Automobildesign from Leonberg-Höfingen. The TECHART Magnum, based on the current Porsche Cayenne, celebrated its world premiere at the IAA last year. At the Geneva Auto-Salon, TECHART will be presenting its powerful
new developments based on the Cayenne Turbo, fitted with the new TECHART performance kit TA055/T2 and a sporty new version of the exclusive interior from de Sede of Switzerland.

The most impressive form of synergy results from the combining of quality, technical perfection and unmistakeable TECHART Design. The TECHART Magnum skilfully unites these attributes. At the beginning of the year, TECHART presents two performance kits. With the TA055/T1 performance kit, available now, the overall performance of the Turbo series engine can be increased from 368 kW (500 hp) to 394 kW (535 hp). The maximum torque increases from the standard 700 to 800 Nm.

An impressive 462 kW (620 hp) and a maximum torque of 850 Newton meters are available following the application of the even more powerful TA055/T2 expansion package, which TECHART will be presenting in Geneva for the first time rounding off the TECHART programme for the Cayenne Turbo available from May 2008.

The sporty new TECHART interior line from de Sede of Switzerland rounds off the features of this most powerful Magnum. The athletic appearance of the new sports seats as well as the elaborately designed individual rear seat unit, sporty materials and trim parts add to the overall luxury throughout. The exclusive TECHART interior, developed in cooperation
with the Swiss furniture manufacturer de Sede of Switzerland, represents the pinnacle of unique and lavish design in TECHART upholstery. The name de Sede has been synonymous with exclusive seating, finest quality leather and unique design for more than 50 years.

The Magnum exterior line is one of two TECHART aerodynamic packages for the Porsche Cayenne model. Both body kits are produced to the quality of the original manufacturer using high quality PUR-RIM material. The TECHART Magnum front apron powerfully and reliably emphasises the lines of the SUV. Magnum fenders and sill panels ensure a fluid transition between the wide wheel arches. Large elegant inlet lamellas supply the radiator and front brakes optimally with fresh air. Additional headlamps and integrated daytime driving lights ensure greater safety. The TECHART Magnum rear apron has an
integrated diffuser, therefore helping to reduce actuation and improving the dynamics of driving. The two double-flow exhaust ends of the TECHART stainless steel sports exhaust unit bring a sporty look to the striking rear of the vehicle.
