TOURBILLON “VERTALIS”
Louis Moinet est fier de présenter ce qui est déjà, selon de nombreux experts, l’un des plus beaux tourbillons de son siècle.
Unique et différent, VERTALIS propose un concept esthétique novateur, en mariant technologie et habillage de façon moderne et originale.
La différence se nomme verticalité : VERTALIS intensifie la magie du tourbillon en reliant sa cage au barillet à l’aide d’une barrette verticale étirée et anglée à la main. Pour ajouter au fascinant spectacle des mouvements de la cage du tourbillon, VERTALIS propose une version ajourée du barillet. Le couvercle de celui-ci effectue une rotation moyenne en 6 heures, et permet un contrôle visuel de la réserve de marche, en fonction de l’armage du ressort de barillet.
Louis Moinet affiche sa volonté de relier l’esthétique à la technique, notamment à travers la barrette verticale qui met en évidence la technologie de la montre, tout en se prolongeant sur le boîtier. Cette forme originale et moderne de marier l’affichage, la technologie et l’habillage est directement inspirée du monde historique de Louis Moinet, et plus spécialement de certains de ses dessins figurant dans le Traité d’Horlogerie de 1848.
Série limitée de douze pièces
Réalisé en série limitée de douze pièces, le mouvement tourbillon exclusif de VERTALIS est à remontage manuel, et bat à
21,600 alternances par heure. Grande particularité technique, le mécanisme de remontage est apparent côté fond de boîte, et particulièrement spectaculaire. En effet, le ressort « pieuvre » y remplit trois fonctions, celle de ressort de tirette, de ressort de bascule et de ressort de cliquet. VERTALIS est présenté dans un nouveau boîtier d’exception, composé de 50 éléments différents. Il met en évidence le mariage des deux ors : or rose 5N très chaleureux, et or blanc qui souligne et poursuit l’effet géométrique de la barrette verticale. Le cadran présente les « Côtes du Jura » ® sur un fond noir rehaussé d’index or rose. Le boîtier est également équipé du protège-couronne Louis Moinet, qui intègre le tube de manière à pouvoir être remplacé aisément au besoin (patent pending). (...)

Girard-Perregaux, Rolls Royce, Pininfarina
En collaboration avec Pininfarina, Girard-Perregaux a associé l’excellence d’un garde-temps à une automobile hors du commun : elle a personnalisé l’une de ses montres à complication, la Vintage 1945 Tourbillon sous Pont d’Or, pour l’intégrer dans une Roll’s Royce unique : Hyperion, présentée au Pebble Beach Concours.
Amovible, cette montre peut non seulement s’adapter sur le tableau de bord du véhicule, mais également orner le poignet de son propriétaire. Un système sophistiqué de vis sur ressorts permet ensuite de l’extraire de son bracelet en cuir pour la fixer sur le tableau de bord. Elle s’installe sur un support reprenant la forme de la cage du Tourbillon, qui est aussi la signature de la marque Girard-Perregaux. Son boîtier d’or blanc, aux lignes pures inspirées par un modèle datant de 1945, abrite un Tourbillon sous Pont d’Or. Elle s’adapte parfaitement à Hyperion, jusqu’aux couleurs de son cadran assorties à la carrosserie. (...)

Jaeger LeCoultre AMVOX2 DBS Transponder

AMVOX2 DBS Transponder, la montre chronographe qui active et désactive le système de verrouillage de la voiture DBS.
Jaeger-LeCoutre et Aston Martin ont élevé leur partenariat à un niveau d’excellence jamais atteint en réalisant l’AMVOX2 DBS Transpondeur. Fruit de plusieurs années de recherches aux frontières entre l'horlogerie contemporaine et la haute technologie, l'AMVOX2 DBS Transponder, est conçue et éditée par Jaeger-LeCoultre exclusivement à l'intention des propriétaires d'une somptueuse Aston Martin DBS.
En or rose 18 carats, la montre intègre un microsystème émetteur qui permet de verrouiller et déverrouiller la serrure de la voiture DBS, tout en conservant les fonctionnalités du désormais célèbre mécanisme à déclenchement vertical, le chronographe sans poussoir. Au moment d’approcher la voiture, il suffit de presser sur la position OPEN de la glace de la montre (entre 8 et 9 heures) pour activer le système d’ouverture des portières alors que le même geste sur la position CLOSE entre 3 et 4 heures procèdent à leur fermeture.
La miniaturisation du module de transpondeur, logé sur le fond de la montre, sa connectique et l’antenne d’émission, métallisée dans la glace saphir, ont été complètement repensés dans une démarche horlogère, qui allie inventivité technique et intégration subtile et élégante au design.
Nul doute que cette invention servira de source d'inspiration pour de nouvelles initiatives entre expertise horlogère et performance automobile. (...)

Bang & Olufsen s'associe à Mercedes-AMG
Bang & Olufsen, le célèbre fabricant danois d'équipements audio et vidéo haut de gamme, et Mercedes-AMG, la division Performances du constructeur allemand Mercedes-Benz Cars, ont conclu un accord en vue du développement d'un système audio unique.
« Notre partenariat avec Mercedes-AMG est extrêmement important pour nous », déclare Karl Kristian Hvidt Nielsen, Bang & Olufsen President & CEO.
« Mercedes-AMG est synonyme de hautes performances et d'exclusivité. Il en va de même pour les systèmes audio automobile de Bang & Olufsen. Ensemble, nous pourrons donc répondre aux attentes des clients de Mercedes-AMG en matière d'équipements audio », affirme Volker Mornhinweg, président du conseil d'administration de Mercedes-AMG.
« Cet accord signifie que Bang & Olufsen pourra désormais mettre à profit l'expertise et les processus que nous avons développés afin de satisfaire aux exigences de l'industrie automobile », souligne Karl Kristian Hvidt Nielsen. « Bien évidemment, Mercedes-AMG constitue également un partenaire intéressant pour Bang & Olufsen, car les voitures de cette marque sont vendues dans le monde entier. »
L’accord conclu avec Mercedes-AMG n'affecte pas les prévisions de Bang & Olufsen pour l’exercice financier en cours.
Les systèmes sonores Bang & Olufsen embarqués ont acquis en peu de temps une réputation exceptionnelle. C’est ainsi qu’au début de cette année, le très estimé magazine allemand « auto motor und sport » a attribué à l’entreprise le premier prix de son palmarès « Best Brand 2008 » (d’après une enquête effectuée auprès de son lectorat) pour la catégorie « hi-fi

Ferrari et Panerai dévoilent leur nouvelle collection de montre au London Show
Conçues, réalisées et distribuées par Officine Panerai, voici la nouvelle collection portant le traditionnel écusson de Ferrari qui a fait ses grands débuts lors du British International Motor Show.
La nouvelle gamme de montres se divise en deux collections: la Scuderia Collection et la Granturismo Collection.
Dans un boîtier de 45 mm de diamètre aux lignes aérodynamiques, apposé du célèbre logo au Cheval cabré de Ferrari à 12h, le style confère un caractère très sportif.
Le cadran d'une couleur noire, donnant une impression de haute technologie, est accompagné de petits détails graphiques aux couleurs Jaunes et blanches rappelant toujours les couleurs de l'écusson de la marque Italienne.
La montre présente aussi un masque en Titane, entourant les compteurs de chronographes, évoquant ainsi un tableau de bord.
Quatre nouveaux modèles ont été ajoutés à la collection 2008:

Aston Martin Racing lance une nouvelle Vantage GT4
Aston Martin Racing, et David Richards viennent de nous dévoiler, à Dubai, leur toute nouvelle GT4 qui devrait être disponible en 2009. Cette nouvelle bête est annoncée comme une évolution de la fameuse Vantage N24.
Après le succès de sa N24, qui a notamment gagné les 24Heures du Nurburgring, ainsi que plusieurs courses de GT4, David Richards souhaitait proposer une voiture compétitive destinée aux professionnels comme aux semi-pros.
Homologuée par la FIA GT4, vous pourrez retrouver cette nouvelle GT4 dans de multiples catégories, telle que la FIA GT4 European Cup, la VLN Endurance Championship au Nurburgring, la Britcar Endurance Series, ou encore le championnat Australien de GT.
Ainsi, sous le capot de cette GT4, nous aurons droit à un moteur V8 4.7-Litres accompagné d’un échappement libre et un double-embrayage cerametallic conçu par Valeo. Vous aurez également le choix entre une boîte manuelle 6 vitesses ou une une Sportshift avec palettes au volant.
Notre GT4 est également équipée de jantes en magnésium montées avec des Yokohama A048-R, de suspensions modifiées.
Par ailleurs, avec 1,330Kg sur la balance, cette nouvelle GT4 sera plus légère de 300Kg comparé à la version standard.
Concernant le prix, l’Aston Martin Vantage GT4 est annoncée à 96 645 £, soit environ 115 000€.

Aston Martin Racing has released the 2009 spec Vantage GT4 based on Aston Martin's new 4.7 litre V8 Vantage. It builds on the success of its predecessor, the 4.3 litre Vantage N24.
The Vantage GT4 has been under development for six months and was unveiled in Dubai this week by Aston Martin chairman, David Richards, and tested extensively at the Dubai Autodrome.
The car is an evolution of the N24 with the larger capacity engine being more responsive with increased torque throughout the rev range. The suspension has been retuned to enhance the handling, including modified front uprights to give increased camber. The 2009 Vantage GT4 also has larger front brake discs with revised cooling.
"In the last two years, the N24 has proved to be one of the most successful cars in its class; winning the Nurburgring 24 Hours this year, as well as several FIA GT4 races," said David Richards. "We have built on this success to develop the Vantage GT4, a competitive racing car for professional and semi-professional drivers, but also a forgiving car which will appeal to enthusiasts who wish to use it for track days and club racing."
The Vantage GT4 is built to FIA GT4 regulations and is eligible to compete in the following series: FIA GT4 European Cup; British GT4 Championship; Britcar Endurance Series; German GT4 Championship; Dutch Supercar Challenge; Dutch GT4 Championship; VLN Endurance Championship at the Nurburgring; Australian Endurance Championship; the American SCCA Championship; and the Aston Martin Owners Club Race Series.
The Vantage GT4 comes with either a manual or sportshift transmission. It is priced from £96,645 and is available to order now with delivery in January 2009.
Aston Martin Racing is now the only manufacturer to produce cars in each of the GT classes: GT1, GT2, GT3 and GT4.
The Vantage GT4
The GT4 is based on the latest 4.7 litre V8 Vantage and is hand built by Aston Martin Racing.
The 4.7 litre eight cylinder engine has an engine management system recalibrated for race use. It also has a free flow exhaust system and air filters, and the standard V8 dry sump lubrication system is retained, helping to prevent oil surge during cornering.
The Vantage GT4 can be supplied with either a six speed manual, or a Sportshift transmission with paddle controls. Both versions have a Valeo twin-plate cerametallic racing clutch and lightweight flywheel to complete the powertrain specification.
At 1,330 kg the Vantage GT4 is 300 kg lighter than the standard car. This has been achieved through a range of weight reduction measures. The interior trim is removed with the exception of the facia moulding, which is re-trimmed in Alcantara, and the console and door casings are replaced by new lightweight mouldings.
The chassis has been fitted with a high-strength steel rollcage and Recaro competition seats. A suede-trimmed steering wheel with a quick release mechanism is also fitted as standard. The Vantage GT4's safety features are completed with a Sabelt sixpoint safety harness with a push-button release and Lifeline Zero 360 gas extinguisher system.
The V8 Vantage road car's suspension has required only minor adjustments for optimal track performance. These include larger diameter front and rear anti-roll bars and adjustable ride height aluminium dampers, as well as single rate, flat ground springs with separate helper springs. The front subframe is modified for extra camber and castor. Cast magnesium front and rear wheels are standard fit with high performance Yokohama A048-R tyres. The brakes are uprated with Pagid RS 29 race pads.
As further endorsement of the standard V8 Vantage underframe, the active safety systems are directly carried over to the Vantage GT4, including: dynamic stability control, traction control, ABS and electronic brakeforce distribution, providing reassurance and enhanced control in slippery conditions. Spider Ferrari 430 16M Scuderia
Après le lancement de leur California, qui imaginait que Ferrari nous sortirait un autre Spider? A priori, il n’y a aucune limite au plaisir. Et selon Ferrari, il n’existe qu’une seule façon, et certainement la meilleure, pour pouvoir profiter pleinement du doux son dégagé par un moteur atteignant la zone rouge… Un cabriolet Messieurs!
L'unique et incroyable F430 Scuderia est maintenant disponible dans une édition cabriolet limitée, la F430 16M Scuderia. 80 kg plus légère que la F430 Spider, la 16M Scuderia est propulsée par un moteur 4.3l V8 qui développe 510hp prêt à remplacer, lorsque les conditions sont parfaites, le son du système audio intégré à votre monstre.
Cependant n’espérez pas vous en procurez une de si tôt, la F430 Scuderia 16M étant limitée à 499 unités, je suis sûr que la quasi-totalité d'entre elles ont déjà été réservées.
Special series Scuderia Spider 16M unveiled at World Finals in Mugello to celebrate Prancing Horse's 16th F1 Constructor's title
Scarperia, November 9th 2008 - Ferrari has chosen to unveil the new Scuderia Spider 16M at the World Finals in Mugello in celebration of its recent victory in the Formula 1 Constructor's World Championship 2008. This new high performance sports car features the very best of Ferrari's latest mid-rear-engined 8-cylinder technology. In fact, the Scuderia Spider 16M is faster round the Fiorano circuit than any other Prancing Horse open-top road car yet built. This truly evocative special series model, of which just 499 unique examples will be produced, is aimed at the most passionate clients, drivers who demand both exclusivity and superb driving pleasure.
The Scuderia Spider 16M is available in a choice of two new signature colour schemes: the standard version is black with grey trim, while a tricolour livery is also available as part of the Carrozzeria Scaglietti Personalisation Programme. The new car also sports a special plaque on its rear grille commemorating Ferrari's 16th Constructor's World title. The exclusivity of the interior is underscored by the silver "limited series" plaque just above the air vents at the centre of the dashboard. Other exclusive features include a roll-bar with carbon-fibre outer shell and a specific new generation audio system that can be combined with the removable customised Ferrari iPod Touch 16 GB with central dock just in front of the dashboard.
From a technical point of view, this car has a dry weight of 1340 Kg (80 kg lighter than the F430 Spider). This, combined with the 510 hp provided by its V8 engine and a power-to-weight ratio of 2.6 kg/hp, means that it delivers blistering 0-100 kph acceleration in just 3.7 seconds and a superb top speed of 315 kph.

SEMA 2008: Des Mercedes GLK tunés
Voici quelques Mercedes GLK qui ont été un peu revues par différents préparateurs et qui ont été présentées lors du SEMA Show 2008.
Nous avons donc eu droit à quatre modèles, tous sortant de l’ordinaire.
- Le GLK Rally Racer signé RENNtech, est un monstre inspiré des célèbres Pikes Peak, avec notamment un impressionnant kit aérodynamique accompagné d’un énorme aileron arrière.
- Le GLK Brabus qui nous vient avec un kit de carrosserie, des énormes jantes, ainsi qu’un moteur revu.
- Le GLK Urban Whip. C’est le nom donné par Boulevard Custom à la Mercedes amputé du toit et accompagnée de jantes de 26’’.
- Le GLK Rock Crawler de Legendary Motor Cars est un modèle princpalement destine aux surfers, skater.

Stuttgart/Las Vegas - Mercedes-Benz has created an unconventional presentation idea under the heading “Tuner Challenge”. Ahead of the equally unconventional SEMA Show in the gaming hotspot of Las Vegas, the Stuttgart company announced a competition for tuning firms. The object of desire – the compact GLK-Class. The distinctively styled automotive character with an edge seems predestined to arouse a wide range of tuning fantasies.
Tuning operations were tasked with highlighting the possibilities presented by the GLK’s wide-ranging talents through their ideas and designs. The four most convincing concepts were selected and the winners given the opportunity to implement their proposals. This process saw the creation of GLK models that are as leading-edge as they are unorthodox, and that now take centre stage in Mercedes’ participation at this year’s SEMA Show. “Widestar”, “The GLK Urban Whip”, “The GLK Pikes Peak Rally Racer” and “The GLK Rock Crawler” will attract attention even at SEMA, which is not exactly short on highlights and is becoming increasingly important as a trendsetting springboard for the European tuning scene. This presentation also represents the GLK premiere on the North American market, where sales are scheduled to begin in January 2009. “Our GLK is a character bursting with expressiveness, and a new model for us within a young market segment in the U.S.,” comments Mercedes-Benz Head of Design Gorden Wagener. “We selected SEMA in Las Vegas as the backdrop for its first appearance in North America because we want to take advantage of the show’s glamour and to underscore the highly individual character of the GLK. An SUV with an edge that is so refreshingly alternative, demands a somewhat alternative setting.”
Good market prospects are being forecast for the compact GLK in the U.S. The visual appeal and functionality of its exterior design make the GLK a distinctive and versatile vehicle, as do its exceptional handling and excellent safety characteristics combined with superb comfort both on and off-road.
GLK-Class freely interpreted four times
Four fundamentally different rebuilds make one thing abundantly clear – the GLK-Class is one of the most multi-faceted SUV models ever, and one that retains its distinctive character, even in the face of somewhat unconventional modifications. With each respective tuner fantasy and the help of some exotic ingredients, the SUV has been turned into an exclusive specialist for the road, beach, city or rally stage. “We wanted to see what kinds of interpretations were inspired by our GLK and how they would further sharpen this very strong character. The tuners opted for completely differing approaches, demonstrating the potential of our GLK concept,” continues Gorden Wagener.
* With its GLK Pikes Peak Rally Racer, RENNtech from Lake Park, Florida has created a motorsport vehicle inspired by the unlimited class of the legendary Pikes Peak Hill Climb in Colorado. The drivetrain of the RENNtech GLK is complemented by a hybrid module that guarantees excellent acceleration figures.
* BRABUS, based in Bottrop, Germany, represents the German element of this tuning fraternity and presents the Widestar, a production-ready, high-performance on-road vehicle that also pays tribute to the distinctive refinement of vehicles bearing the three-pointed star.
* GLK Urban Whip is the name given by Boulevard Customs from St. Petersburg, Florida to its creation, which makes its entrance with a significantly widened bodyshell, massive 26 inch wheels and a mighty on-board entertainment system that, according to the figures, is likely to have an impact at full blast of seismological proportions.
* The team at the Legendary Motorcar Company from Ontario, Canada, which is more commonly associated with the restoration of American muscle cars, created The GLK Rock Crawler. The exotic design for snow and sand includes a winch system that can provide wakeboarders and snowboarders alike with the necessary impetus.
The base vehicle for Boulevard Customs, Legendary Motorcar and RENNtech
is the series production GLK350 with a 3.5 litre V6 engine generating 200 kW/272 hp, while BRABUS opted for the diesel-driven GLK 320 CDI 4MATIC. The base versions of all models are equipped with the 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic transmission. (...)

Novitec Rosso 599 GTB Fiorano Bi-Kompressor
Novitec Rosso nous a présenté son dernier travail réalisé sur la 599 GTB Fiorano : Un pari qui semble risqué, surtout lorsque l’on s’attaque aux fameux monstres de la marque au Cheval Cabré.
Qu’avons-nous au programme ?
Eh bien, sachez que vous aurez droit à un moteur V12 à deux compresseurs qui vous offriront une puissance supplémentaire de 188Hp, soit un total de 620Hp. Côté couple, il atteint 823Nm à 6300 tr/min, soit 215Nm supplémentaire par rapport à la version de base.
Au niveau des performances, notre 599 GTB Fiorano, notre diablesse des routes réalise un 0 à 100km/h en 3,5 secondes.
Bien sûr l’extérieur à été revu, et vous pourrez notamment y retrouver des jantes 21’’, spoiler, aileron, diffuseur d’air ou encore des suspensions sport ajustables.

Bi-Kompressor V12 Engine with 808 hp / 594 kW and 823 Nm for the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
A maximum rated power output of 808 hp / 594 kW, a peak torque of 823 Nm and a top speed of more than 340 km/h, all the result of a high-tech twin compressor conversion: NOVITEC ROSSO endows the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano with even more superlatives through professional tuning. The tuning is accompanied by an aerodynamic-enhancement kit developed in the wind tunnel, three-piece 21-inch wheels with correspondingly calibrated sports suspension, a high-performance brake system, and exclusive interior options.
As for the Ferrari F430, NOVITEC ROSSO relies on mechanically supercharging the six-liter four-valve V12 engine of the F599 with two compressors for boosting performance. The cogged-belt driven high-performance superchargers produce a maximum boost pressure of 0.39 bars, and are a lubricated by their own dedicated oil circulation. The pre-compressed air is then cooled down to a level conducive for added power by a large intercooler that itself is cooled by a dedicated water cycle. A specially designed intake manifold with high-performance injectors and sport air filter round out the conversion on the intake side.
In addition, NOVITEC ROSSO installs custom exhaust manifolds calibrated to the twin compressors, and the NOVITEC ROSSO stainless-steel quad sport exhaust system with a tailpipe diameter of 90 millimeters. The exhaust note can be adjusted using the ‘manettino' switch on the steering wheel from 'sporty yet discrete' to ‘definitely sounds like racing.'
The NOVITEC ROSSO engine management coordinates the perfect interaction of all conversion components. It not only ensures maximum power yield but also exemplary smooth running and maximum longevity.
Compared to the production engine the NOVITEC ROSSO Bi-Kompressor V12 gains 188 hp / 138.4 kW for a new maximum of 808 hp / 594 kW at 7,800 rpm. At the same time peak torque grows by 215 Nm to a new peak of 823 Nm at 6,300 rpm.
In combination with the F1-Superfast transmission, whose six speeds are even faster and more precise to select thanks to longer NOVITEC ROSSO carbon shift paddles, the tuned F599 delivers performance on the highest super sports car level: The sprint from rest to 100 km/h takes just 3.5 seconds. 200 km/h are reached after just 9.7 seconds. And a sprint time of 25.5 seconds from 0 - 300 km/h places the tuned two-seater firmly among the fastest accelerating sports cars in the world. Top speed is more than 340 km/h. The NOVITEC ROSSO Bi-Kompressor engine conversion is available for 46,900 Euros.
Such performance places extreme demands on perfectly balanced aerodynamics. The NOVITEC ROSSO designers went into the wind tunnel to develop aerodynamic-enhancement components that add some visual pizzazz to the 599 and make it more aerodynamically efficient. The front spoiler lip is attached to the production bumper and reduces lift on the front axle. Its aerodynamic counterpart in the rear is the rear diffuser that can optionally be combined with a rear spoiler.
The NOVITEC ROSSO rocker panels calm the airflow between the wheel houses and with their large air inlets optimize the supply of cooling air to the rear brakes.
All NOVITEC ROSSO aerodynamic-enhancement components are also available in a clear-coat carbon-fiber version. The exterior can be further refined with black side markers and black taillights as well as with LED auxiliary brake light and reversing light.
The extensive high-performance package for the 599 also includes custom-tailored NOVITEC ROSSO NF3 light-alloy wheels with high-performance tires from PIRELLI. The tree-piece wheels with five double spokes measure one inch more in diameter than the stock wheels. The front axle is fitted with size 9Jx20 rims and size 275/30 ZR 20 tires. The rear wheels in size 12.5Jx21 with size 355/25 ZR 21 tires provide maximum traction.
These king-size wheels offers space for the high-performance brake system developed in cooperation with Brembo. The brake uses the largest components currently legal for street use. The front and rear features steel discs with diameters of 405 millimeters and six-piston brake calipers. Together they offer an optimal combination of maximum stopping power and endurance.
Bound and rebound of the height-adjustable NOVITEC ROSSO sport suspension can be adjusted to each 599 owner's individual preferences. In addition the suspension also offers a highly useful lift feature that is activated by pushing a button in the cockpit. The front of the car can be raised by 40 millimeters to navigate safely past obstacles such as parking ramps or speed bumps without scraping the front apron. The suspension automatically reverts to its original position once the car reaches a speed of 80 km/h.
NOVITEC ROSSO offers the ultimate refinements for the interior of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. The list of options ranges from a leather/carbon-fiber sport steering wheel with flattened bottom for easier entering and exiting, to aluminum foot pedals, to a completely new interior in any color and material combination imaginable. What was to be demonstrated
TECHART Automobildesign GmbH presents the direct successor to the TECHART GTstreet RS presented in spring – the new TECHART GTstreet R, based on the Porsche 911 Turbo.
‘Quod erat demonstrandum’ (this completes the proof). It was with this sentence that Sir Isaac Newton always completed the presentation of his mathematics and physics-based evidence. At TECHART, the phrase stands for the challenge of kitting out ‘Non plus ultra’ ex works vehicles with impressive performance capabilities. The result: the TECHART GTstreet RS based on the Porsche 911 GT2.
This vehicle concept is now being applied to the Porsche 911 Turbo in the form of the TECHART GTstreet R. The latest addition to the TECHART GTstreet family, which has stood for uncompromising sportiness since 2001, is therefore one of the world’s top performing sports cars.
Impressive performance data
The GTstreet R is fitted with the TECHART performance kit TA097/T3 with an engine performance of 485 kW (660 hp) and a maximum torque of 860 Nm at 4,600 rpm. The GTstreet R with Tiptronic S can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and with manual transmission it only takes a tenth of a second longer. The remarkable propulsion levels out at a top speed of 345 km/h.
An ample increase in performance is guaranteed thanks to the new turbochargers, large carbon fibre inlet pipes, special intercoolers, a sports exhaust system combined with high-performance manifolds and an improved sports air filter. A balanced downforce on the front and back axels and specially adapted TECHART VarioPlus coil over suspension guarantee excellent driving performance at high speeds and ensure extra driving stability and safety.
Technology meets emotion
The design of the car body brings sporting agility and a perfect exterior design. The aero-bonnet, headlight trims and mirror trims, striking sill panels and carbon fibre roof spoiler characterise the dynamic design of this sports car. MKIII-R Roadster, une vraie Beautée Américaine
Nous devons admettre qu’ici, chez ManualGear.com, nous ne sommes pas de grand fan des muscles car américaines. La plupart sont loin d'être belle, et peu fiables, mais comme pour tout il existe quelques exceptions. Même si la mythique Cobra ACE reste dans un style purement britannique, Carroll Shelby avait su faire ressortir le vrai visage de cette icône, avec un monstrueux moteur V8.
40 ans plus tard, il semble que les Américains ont récidivé, avec cette édition spéciale de la MKIII-R Roadster mise au point par la société américaine Superformances et qui est la seule entreprise autorisée Par Shelby à produire cette Cobra.

The Special Edition car was introduced to the public at the 2007 SEMA show in Las Vegas Nevada. The Journey:
Hillbank Motor Corp collected all the pieces of this performance puzzle and began to align the stars for this new venture. Once the pieces were all collected, Hillbank called on Exotic Automotive Restorations to masterfully assemble the dream car!
The MKIII-R started its journey in South Africa, where it was built completely minus the engine and transmission by Hi Tech Automotive RSA and shipped Hillbank Motor Corp. After 5 weeks on the water it arrived at Hillbank and was quickly sent over to Exotic where it began the transformation process.
The Exotic crew first removed all of the chrome factory trim pieces including the windshield, hood and trunk latches, headlight rings, quick jacks, all the way down to the Tonneau cover rivets and roll bar and sent them out to be coated in a black chrome finish. With the help of our sponsors (Roush, GTP, Wilwood Engineering, Tremec, American Racing, Sube Sport, Michelin USA, and Snake Power Performance) this vehicle was well on its way to its new transformation!

Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo
Lamborghini a mis le temps pour lancement de sa propre course à la manière de Ferrari ou Porsche. Mais ce sera chose faite à compter du 2 mai 2009, avec le Super Trophée Lamborghini Blancpain, qui se déroulera au Royaume-Uni sur le circuit de Silverstone.
Concernant les voitures, nous retrouveront notamment la toute nouvelle Gallardao LP560-4 que nous avons pu tester quelques semaines plus tôt (Notre Review et test drive bientôt sur Manualgear.com). Lamborghini announces: The Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo
The world’s fastest one-make series
Sant’Agata Bolognese, 25 October 2008 - Automobili Lamborghini has today announced the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo – the world’s fastest one-make series.
The series will debut in May 2009 featuring the Lamborghini’s Super Trofeo: a lightweight version of the Gallardo LP 560-4 super sports car launched earlier this year. The Super Trofeo will come with a reworked chassis and a power output of 419 kW (570 hp) from its V10, ‘Iniezione Diretta Stratificata’ engine. Lamborghini has a clear objective to ensure the Super Trofeo is the fastest one-make series in the world.
The race car will feature Lamborghini’s permanent four-wheel drive, making the Super Trofeo the only one-make, all-wheel drive motorsport series. Lamborghini will build cars for a 30-strong grid, available to individual professional and ‘gentleman’ drivers, as well as Lamborghini dealer teams. One factory car, reserved for celebrity ‘guest drivers’, will be included in the line-up at each round.
“We’re delighted to announce the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo,” said Automobili Lamborghini President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann. “Both on-track and off, our series will reflect the Lamborghini brand, with extreme, high performance racing and stylish trackside facilities. This gives our Lamborghini clients, as well as professional and gentleman racing drivers looking for a new challenge, the opportunity to experience Lamborghini in the ultimate driving environment.”
The first race weekend of the 2009 provisional calendar will run on 3 May at the Silverstone circuit in the UK, followed by Adria in Italy on 17 May; Nuremburg’s Norisring in Germany on 5 July; Spa in Belgium on 2 August; Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya in Spain on 20 September; and culminating on 4 October in Monza, Italy.*Dates provisional
With the Swiss watch-maker, Blancpain as title sponsor, the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo will run over European race weekends alongside other prestigious series such as the FIA GT Championship, DTM and FIA World Touring Car Championship. Either one or two drivers per car can register for the series, comprising of free practice and a qualifying session, and three 40-minute races during Saturday and Sunday. The results of the three races are added together: no additional weight penalties will be imposed on winning teams, and the cars cannot be modified during the season.
The Super Trofeo car is offered at 200,000 euros plus tax, via Lamborghini dealerships, with support and parts sales trackside. The prestigious Super Trofeo Village will provide a hospitality area in true Lamborghini style, for drivers, sponsors and guests. (...)

ABT revoit les R8, Q7 et A4 avec de la fibre de carbone en Vinyle
Voici ce que propose le Tuner Allemand ABT en collaboration avec Kempten : Quelque chose que beaucoup qualifieraient de « honteux » pour le monde du Tuning ; des peintures carbones mates et carbone, qui a première vue, ont l’air fort sympathiques…
Cependant, ces peintures ne sont autres que des imitations en vinyle sur cette R8… un peu « étrange » me direz-vous, surtout venant du tuner ABT. Mais nous devons reconnaître tout de même, que le résultat est impressionnant, et que cette solution coûtera moins chère qu’un vrai corps en fibre de carbone…
Noble and extravagant – Foil for A4, Q7 and R8
When ABT Sportsline starts something, you know it's going to be worth seeing. That especially applies for the new vehicle full-foil, which the famous customiser from the Allgäu region now offers. After all, the high-tech synthetic material provides an additional individual touch and extremely exciting look. The complete vehicle bodywork is wrapped with extreme precision right through to the last corner or edge. The result is perfect right down to the finish of every single detail, and qualitatively there is no difference to a high-grade finish.
Wrapping with matt Carbon Film, which the Kempten Company offers for the models AS4, AS7 and the super sports car ABT R8, is especially exciting. Of course, the foil is also available for the standard Audi models A4, Q7 and R8. The matt Carbon Film is virtually indistinguishable from real carbon, i.e. the texture of the carbon-fibre synthetic material is exactly reproduced. "When the vehicle is fully wrapped in Carbon Film, it appears more aggressive and dynamic", said Hans-Jürgen Abt, Managing Director of ABT Sportsline. After all, carbon is the extremely stable material that causes weight reduction in professional motor sport. Of course, ABT's Carbon Film does not have this feature, but the extravagant wrapping is considerably less expensive.
ABT Sportsline has also developed a foil especially for the noble SUV AS7/Q7 that goes very well with the powerful vehicle: the customer can combine the foil in matt black with a colour like orange and green, thus emphasizing the side area and ensuring both an individual and elegant appearance for the AS7/Q7. Coupé Vorsteiner Porsche 997 V-GT
Porsche est tout simplement une marque d'enfer lorsque l'on parle de la "Super Car" de tous les jours, et il ne fait aucun doute que ce fabricant emblématique attire aussi de nombreux "habilleurs" et autres hardcore tuners, tous aussi dévoués les uns que les autres, pour faire ressortir le meilleur de cette bête.
Aujourd'hui, c'est la société allemande Vorsteiner qui s'y colle. Mieux connu pour leur travail effectué sur les BMW et BENZ, cette fois ci, le tuner a décidé d'apporter sa touche personnelle, avec sa vision puissante de la 997 911: le coupé Vorsteiner Porsche 997 V-GT.
La puissance de la voiture n'ayant pas été retouchée, Vorsteiner a misé dans l'esthétique en installant des entrées d'aération en fibre de carbone, un pare-choc avant en fibre de carbone, spoiler avant, et pare-chocs arrière intégré en fibre de carbone, et de nouveaux ailerons. (...)
