LOUIS MOINET - “Vertalis” Tourbillon
Louis Moinet is proud to present what many experts already consider to be one of the world’s finest tourbillons. The unique VERTALIS model features an innovative aesthetic concept distinguished by a modern and original blend of technology and design. As its name implies, the difference here is all about verticality: VERTALIS intensifies the magic of the tourbillon by connecting its carriage to the barrel by means of a hand-drawn and bevelled vertical bar. To add to the fascinating vision of the tourbillon carriage in motion, VERTALIS offers an openworked version of the barrel. The latter’s cover performs an average rotation in 6 hours and enables one to keep visual check on the power reserve according to the state of wind of the barrel spring. Louis Moinet displays its determination to combine aesthetic and technical aspects, particularly through the vertical bar that showcases the technology of the watch, while extending over onto the case. This original and modern way of uniting displays, technology and casing is directly inspired by the historical world of Louis Moinet, and especially by some of the drawings published in his famous Traité d’Horlogerie in 1848. LIMITED EDITION OF 12 Crafted in a limited edition of 12, the exclusive VERTALIS tourbillon movement is hand-wound and beats at a cadence of 21,600 vibrations per hour. One particularly striking technical characteristic is the spectacular visibility of the winding mechanism through the case-back. The “octopus” spring plays three roles by acting as pull-out piece spring, lever spring and click spring. VERTALIS is presented in an exceptional new case composed of 50 different parts. It highlights the union of two gold colours: the warm shade of 5N rose gold, and the white gold that accentuates and pursues the geometrical effect of the vertical bar. The dial features “Côtes du Jura”® against a black background enhanced with rose gold hour-markers. The case is also equipped with the Louis Moinet crown guard, incorporating the stem in such a way as to enable easy replacement if required (patent pending). Ferrari and Panerai Unveil a New Watch Collection at the British International Motor Show
Ferrari Engineered by Officine Panerai Watch Collection Debuts at the British International Motor Show Time and Sport: An all Italian fusion: Ferrari Engineered by Officine Panerai is delighted to announce its debut at the British International Motor Show. The collection of high-end watches from the luxury Italian watch brand Officine Panerai will be on public display for the first time at this year's 'Ultimate Collection' at the ExCeL Centre in Docklands. Great passion, and also technology, design, style, class, tradition and sports qualities are all elements that unite Officine Panerai and Ferrari, two names representing the highest level of "made in Italy" creativity throughout the world. This range of watches is divided into two collections, Scuderia and Granturismo. The fusion between Panerai and Ferrari is illustrated by the parallels in the appearance of a chronograph with buttons and the rear view of a Ferrari: the Prancing Horse which stands out at the centre, buttons that resemble Ferrari tail lights, the profile of the case, and the convex crystal like the rear window. Engraved on the cases and bracelets of all the 19 models presented from 2006 until now, three of which are special editions and particularly precious and exclusive watches, is an inscription that expresses and illustrates the working practice of the watch engineers. It reads: Engineered by Officine Panerai. It's a matter of meticulous, precise research carried out by observing in a precise and painstaking manner all Ferrari models created in its 60 year history. This has been at the font of inspiration in achieving the production of a range of watches in which the best materials, and a manic attention to detail, merge into perfection. Four new models have been added to the collection in 2008: Ferrari 10 Days GMT £8,900 (Scuderia Collection) Ferrari 8 Days Chrono Monopulsante GMT Classic £10,400 (Granturismo collection) Ferrari 1/8th Second £10,400 (Special Edition) Ferrari Chronograph £28,300 (Special Edition) The watches will be on display at the British International Motor Show from Tuesday, July 22nd – Sunday, August 3rd. First Photos of Porsche's New Four Door Panamera Gran Turismo
Roughly nine months before the actual market launch, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, released thier first official photos of the Panamera in its final look. In its design, profile and silhouette, Porsche’s unique four-seater stands out clearly as a new member of the Porsche family. Conceived and designed as a four-door grand touring sports car, the Panamera combines numerous talents in typical Porsche style: sporting driving dynamics, a generous and variable interior, and the supreme driving comfort of a Gran Turismo. Joining the 911, Boxster and Cayman sports cars as well as the sporty SUV Cayenne, the Panamera is Porsche’s fourth model series. The designers of the Panamera succeeded in positioning this unique car as a brand-new and truly different model while nevertheless retaining the looks of a typical Porsche. Through its proportions alone, the Panamera stands out clearly in its market segment: measuring 1931 millimetres or 76.0 inches in width, the Panamera is wider, and measuring 1418 millimetres or 55.8 inches in height, lower than comparable four-door models. The unmistakable, sleek GT silhouette is created by the car’s overall length of 4970 millimetres or 195.7 inches and short, sporting overhangs front and rear. In its styling and details, the Panamera follows the design philosophy refined over decades on the 911 and successfully implemented also on the Boxster, Cayman and Cayenne. Through its design language alone, the Panamera establishes a new segment versus the competition. The symbiosis of sports car DNA derived from the looks of a coupé, the unique interpretation of the classical saloon body and the benefits of a variable space concept give the new Porsche its truly unmistakable appearance. As an example, the Panamera comes with highly individual, strongly contoured air intakes instead of a conventional radiator grille. Striking wheel arches and the long and sleek engine compartment lid create that typical 911 “landscape” at the front end of the car the Porsche customer has appreciated for no less than 45 years, with the distinctly contoured wings as flanks bordering on the flat front lid. The V-shaped seams along the engine compartment lid and the rear window tapering out like an arrow to the rear convey the features characteristic of a sports car to the new, highly individual Panamera class. The striking, muscular shoulders over the rear wheels, the dynamic sweep of the coupé-like roofline, and the visible tailpipes again bear out all the DNA so typical of a thoroughbred Porsche. The elegant roof arch extends stylishly over the generous interior, simply begging the beholder to get inside. Like all Porsche models, the Panamera is oriented in every respect to the needs and wishes of the driver. But now, thanks to the new concept of space and the sporting architecture of the interior, the car’s occupants are also able to experience this special “pilot feeling” on all four seats. All four occupants enjoy supreme ergonomic comfort on both the front seats and the two firmly contoured single seats at the rear. The luggage compartment easily takes up all the passengers’ luggage. The variable space concept with its folding rear seat backrests enables the driver and passengers to adjust the luggage space individually to their personal requirements. And last but not least, the coupé tailgate in the sporting rear end combines superior suitability for daily use with stylish elegance. Porsche has developed superior and up-to-date power units for the Panamera again reflecting all the qualities typical of the brand – the V-engines within the engine compartment come with six and eight cylinders and range in power from 300 to 500 bhp. Some of the engines use turbocharger technology, Direct Fuel Injection making them both fuel-efficient and powerful all in one. The flow of power to the wheels goes either through a manual six-speed gearbox or the new seven-speed Double-Clutch Gearbox, the so called Porsche-Doppel-kupplung (PDK). In addition to sporting rear-wheel drive, the top version of the Panamera comes with even more sophisticated all-wheel drive, which is also available for the other versions as an option. As a further highlight, Porsche is preparing a particularly fuel-efficient version of the Panamera with hybrid drive. Further details on the engines, transmissions, performance, prices and equipment will be disclosed next spring. The Porsche Panamera will be built at Porsche’s Leipzig Plant, where a production hall measuring some 22,000 square metres or almost 237,000 square feet and a logistics centre are currently under construction. While the engines featured in the Panamera are built at Porsche’s Main Plant in Zuffenhausen, the painted bodyshells will be supplied by the Volkswagen Plant in Hanover. The Leipzig Plant will then assemble the Panamera for final delivery, with an annual sales target of some 20,000 units. Porsche is once again cooperating largely with German suppliers in the production of the Panamera, with some 70 per cent of the car’s overall value being created domestically. Hence, the Panamera is most definitely a car “Made in Germany”. (...)
Facelifted Porsche Boxster and Cayman Unleashed
You've been warned, the LA Motor Show will be THE event for all Porsche Boxster and Cyman fans to follow. Not only do our two new, very capable entry level Porsches receive a slightly modified body, but also some pretty new improvement with the arrival of the PDK (Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe), the dual-clutch gearbox now on every new 911, as well as an improved 2.9l Boxer engine that develops 255bhp for the stock version, and 265bhp for the Boxter-S. As for the Cayman, Porsche gave it a 3.4l engine with direct fuel injection (the same technology found on the new 911s) that develops 310bhp on the stock version, and 320bhp on the Cayman S. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is presenting the second generation of the mid-engined Boxster and Cayman sports cars for the first time at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The highlight of the new generation is of course the new flat-six boxer engines developed with new technical features from the ground up, providing not only more power, but also significantly greater fuel efficiency than their predecessors. A further improvement of both fuel economy and performance is guaranteed by the Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe or PDK for short, the new double-clutch gearbox. Newly developed Boxer engines with even more power on even less fuel Displacing 2.9 litres, the “basic“ engine develops 255 bhp (188 kW) in the Boxster and 265 bhp (195 kW) in the Cayman, an increase by 10 and, respectively, 20 horsepower over the preceding models. The 3.4-litre power unit in the S-versions, benefiting from Direct Fuel Injection, now delivers 310 bhp (228 kW) in the Boxster S and 320 bhp (235 kW) in the Cayman S, up by 15 and, respectively, 25 bhp. An outstanding power-to-weight ratio ranging from 4.2 kg (9.3 lb)/bhp on the Cayman S to 5.2 kg (11.5 lb)/bhp on the Boxster offers the driver maximum driving dynamics on minimum fuel. As a result, the Cayman S with PDK and Launch Control featured in the optional Sports Chrono Package accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, setting the benchmark in the range, while the Boxster with its six-speed manual gearbox featured as standard completes the same exercise in 5.9 seconds. Featuring PDK, both the Boxster and the Cayman for the first time outperform the nine-litre consumption mark: Both models with the new 2.9-litre Boxer engine make do with 8.9 litres/100 kilometres (equal to 26.4 mpg US) according to the EU4 standard – 11 per cent less than the former models with Tiptronic S. Reducing fuel consumption by an even more significant 16 per cent to 9.2 litres/100 kilometres (equal to 25.5 mpg US), the 3.4-litre versions with PDK offer an even greater saving over their predecessors with Tiptronic S. Roadster and Coupé with even more signs of distinction The new two-seaters are clearly distinguishable from outside through their newly designed front and rear ends. The new halogen headlights with their integrated direction indicators are reminiscent of the lights on the Carrera GT, the new LED rear lights tapering out to the outside and integrated elegantly in the modified rear end of the car. From the front the Roadster and Coupé differ clearly from one another through the distinctive design of their air intakes, from the rear through the new rear panels with diffuser inserts on the Boxster and a wind deflector plate on the Cayman. The rod-shaped positioning lights in LED light conductor technology add a particular touch of class in terms of the cars’ looks, also through their horizontal arrangement in the outer air intakes. Yet a further highlight is provided by the foglamps featured as standard – rectangular in shape on the Boxster, round on the Cayman. For the first time both models are available with a Lights Package featuring bi-xenon headlights, dynamic curve lights and LED daytime driving lights. Replacing the foglamps, these light units are made up on the Boxster of four LEDs positioned next to one another, while on the Cayman four LEDs are arranged in round light units like the eyes of a dice. PDK: shifting gears even more quickly, reducing fuel consumption by up to 16 per cent All four sports cars are available for the first time with the Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe or PDK carried over directly from motorsport and replacing the former Tiptronic S. Equipped with the PDK double-clutch gearbox, the Roadster and Coupé accelerate to 100 km/h or 62 mph 0.1 seconds faster than with the manual six-speed gearbox now also featured on the “basic” models. Acceleration is particularly fast and dynamic with one of the optional Sports Chrono Packages featuring Launch Control for maximum acceleration from a standing start and the Race Track Gearshift Strategy for the fastest conceivable gearshift as an exclusive highlight on the PDK models. Benefiting from Launch Control, the respective models accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h or 62 mph yet another 2/10ths of a second faster. The progress offered by PDK is even more impressive when it comes to fuel economy reduced by up to 16 per cent from the former figure on the first generation: According to the EU4 consumption standard, the Boxster and Cayman equipped with PDK consume just 8.9 litres/100 kilometres, equal to 26.3 mpg US, with the S-models offering almost the same level of economy at just 9.2 litres or 25.5 mpg US. Dynamic suspension and supreme brakes The suspension with its new set-up gives the new models a combination of even greater driving dynamics and enhanced comfort all in one. Modification of the valve control map on the steering transmission serves furthermore to reduce steering forces, giving the Boxster and Cayman even more agile and spontaneous steering behaviour. The wheels come in new design and are half an inch wider on the “basic” models than in the past in order to accommodate the larger brake system of the S-models on the front axle. Both the Boxster and Cayman feature the latest generation of PSM Porsche Stability Management now offering two new functions: Brake Pre-Loading and the Brake Assistant. Whenever the driver lets go of the gas pedal very quickly – which is typical of an upcoming emergency braking manoeuvre – the PSM hydraulic control unit builds up an appropriate level of pressure on the wheel brakes before the driver even presses down the brake pedal, moving the brake pads slightly towards the discs for immediate action. This significantly improves brake response and shortens stopping distances accordingly. When recognising that the driver is braking in an emergency due to very fast operation of the brake pedal and a defined brake force, the PSM hydraulic control unit actively delivers the brake pressure required for maximum stopping power. New audio and communication systems Both the Boxster and the Cayman come as standard with the new CDR-30 CD radio boasting an easy-to-read five-inch monochromatic display and the ability to play MP3 CDs. New PCM Porsche Communication Management available as an option complete with hard disc navigation serves as the central control unit for all audio, communication and navigation features. PCM is now even more versatile, efficient and a lot easier to use than before, standing out in particular through its control monitor enabling the driver to select specific functions simply by tipping the appropriate key and increased in size from 5.8 to 6.5 inches. As an option PCM is available with highly convenient voice control and, in conjunction with the optional, universal audio interface, can now be used also to control external audio sources such as an iPod® or USB stick. Last but not least, Porsche’s new two-seaters are available as an option with seat ventilation combined with seat heating on both the standard seats and the comfort seats with full or partial leather. The new models are entering the market in February 2009. The base price of the Boxster in the Euro countries is Euro 38,600, the base price of the Cayman Euro 41,700. The corresponding prices of the Boxster S are Euro 46,700, of the Cayman S Euro 51,500. Including VAT and national specifications, the Boxster retails in Germany at Euro 46,142, the Cayman at Euro 49,831. The Boxster S, in turn, comes at a retail price of Euro 55,781, the Cayman S at Euro 61,493. (...)
Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder
The Gallardo LP560-4 with its Corsa mode is one fantastic super car. It's a great pleasure to announce Lamborghini will release a Spyder version… Lovely! With the new Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder, Lamborghini has created a driving experience like absolutely no other – fascinating design, breathtaking performance and extreme handling characteristics come together with all the sensual intensity and open-air pleasure that only a soft top super sports car can deliver. With its innovative design, the new LP 560-4 Spyder takes the unique Lamborghini styling ethic to the next level; the Spyder displays this powerful and elegant design language with even greater distinctiveness, making it all the more unmistakable. The Gallardo LP 560-4 has been on the market since early 2008, as the successor to the most successful Lamborghini of all time – since 2003, more than 8,500 models bearing the Gallardo name have left the production facility in Sant'Agata Bolognese. "The LP 560-4 is the next step in a huge success story," says Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. "With the Spyder, we are now unveiling a car that is, quite simply, a new dimension in the latest Gallardo range. It is an entirely new model, whilst building on the substantial technical and design attributes of the Gallardo LP560-4 production strategy. As in the Coupé, its enormous power is delivered by the new 5.2 litre V10 with an output of 560 hp (412 kW) at 8,000 rpm. The increase in 40 hp (29 kW) over its predecessor, as well as the 44 pound (20 kilogram) reduction in vehicle weight, improves the power-to-weight ratio to 6.10 pounds (2.77 kg) per hp, thus improving performance even further. The LP 560-4 Spyder takes only 4.0 seconds to sprint from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h), reaching 124 mph (0 to 200 km/h) in only 13.1 seconds and going on to a top speed of 201 mph (324 km/h). The new driveline, featuring the "Iniezione Diretta Stratificata" direct fuel injection system also makes for impressive efficiency. Despite the considerable increase in performance, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been reduced by a staggering 18 percent. Engineers at the Ufficio Tecnico Lamborghini, Sant'Agata-based Technical Department, have also improved traction, handling and stability at high speeds. The redesigned four-wheel drive transmission, the new suspension, the improved stiffness of the Spyder bodyshell and the optimised aerodynamics all contribute to the overall improvements in the vehicle, as do the reduced weight and decreased friction throughout the components. Thus the Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder presents itself as a razor-sharp super sports car with the precision reactions of a high-performance athlete. The car is also surprisingly suited to long-distance driving and, despite its extreme performance capabilities, is easy to control whilst maintaining utmost stability. Above all, the impressive Lamborghini technology takes on a new, intense edge in the Spyder, with the glorious feel of the open air rushing by. (...)

Aston Martin Racing Launches a New Vantage GT4
Aston Martin Racing has released the 2009 spec Vantage GT4 based on Aston Martin's new 4.7 litre V8 Vantage. It builds on the success of its predecessor, the 4.3 litre Vantage N24. The Vantage GT4 has been under development for six months and was unveiled in Dubai this week by Aston Martin chairman, David Richards, and tested extensively at the Dubai Autodrome. The car is an evolution of the N24 with the larger capacity engine being more responsive with increased torque throughout the rev range. The suspension has been retuned to enhance the handling, including modified front uprights to give increased camber. The 2009 Vantage GT4 also has larger front brake discs with revised cooling. "In the last two years, the N24 has proved to be one of the most successful cars in its class; winning the Nurburgring 24 Hours this year, as well as several FIA GT4 races," said David Richards. "We have built on this success to develop the Vantage GT4, a competitive racing car for professional and semi-professional drivers, but also a forgiving car which will appeal to enthusiasts who wish to use it for track days and club racing." The Vantage GT4 is built to FIA GT4 regulations and is eligible to compete in the following series: FIA GT4 European Cup; British GT4 Championship; Britcar Endurance Series; German GT4 Championship; Dutch Supercar Challenge; Dutch GT4 Championship; VLN Endurance Championship at the Nurburgring; Australian Endurance Championship; the American SCCA Championship; and the Aston Martin Owners Club Race Series. The Vantage GT4 comes with either a manual or sportshift transmission. It is priced from £96,645 and is available to order now with delivery in January 2009. Aston Martin Racing is now the only manufacturer to produce cars in each of the GT classes: GT1, GT2, GT3 and GT4. The Vantage GT4 The GT4 is based on the latest 4.7 litre V8 Vantage and is hand built by Aston Martin Racing. The 4.7 litre eight cylinder engine has an engine management system recalibrated for race use. It also has a free flow exhaust system and air filters, and the standard V8 dry sump lubrication system is retained, helping to prevent oil surge during cornering. The Vantage GT4 can be supplied with either a six speed manual, or a Sportshift transmission with paddle controls. Both versions have a Valeo twin-plate cerametallic racing clutch and lightweight flywheel to complete the powertrain specification. At 1,330 kg the Vantage GT4 is 300 kg lighter than the standard car. This has been achieved through a range of weight reduction measures. The interior trim is removed with the exception of the facia moulding, which is re-trimmed in Alcantara, and the console and door casings are replaced by new lightweight mouldings. The chassis has been fitted with a high-strength steel rollcage and Recaro competition seats. A suede-trimmed steering wheel with a quick release mechanism is also fitted as standard. The Vantage GT4's safety features are completed with a Sabelt sixpoint safety harness with a push-button release and Lifeline Zero 360 gas extinguisher system. The V8 Vantage road car's suspension has required only minor adjustments for optimal track performance. These include larger diameter front and rear anti-roll bars and adjustable ride height aluminium dampers, as well as single rate, flat ground springs with separate helper springs. The front subframe is modified for extra camber and castor. Cast magnesium front and rear wheels are standard fit with high performance Yokohama A048-R tyres. The brakes are uprated with Pagid RS 29 race pads. As further endorsement of the standard V8 Vantage underframe, the active safety systems are directly carried over to the Vantage GT4, including: dynamic stability control, traction control, ABS and electronic brakeforce distribution, providing reassurance and enhanced control in slippery conditions. Mercedes-Benz Tuner Challenge at SEMA 2008: The GLK in Las Vegas
Stuttgart/Las Vegas - Mercedes-Benz has created an unconventional presentation idea under the heading “Tuner Challenge”. Ahead of the equally unconventional SEMA Show in the gaming hotspot of Las Vegas, the Stuttgart company announced a competition for tuning firms. The object of desire – the compact GLK-Class. The distinctively styled automotive character with an edge seems predestined to arouse a wide range of tuning fantasies. Tuning operations were tasked with highlighting the possibilities presented by the GLK’s wide-ranging talents through their ideas and designs. The four most convincing concepts were selected and the winners given the opportunity to implement their proposals. This process saw the creation of GLK models that are as leading-edge as they are unorthodox, and that now take centre stage in Mercedes’ participation at this year’s SEMA Show. “Widestar”, “The GLK Urban Whip”, “The GLK Pikes Peak Rally Racer” and “The GLK Rock Crawler” will attract attention even at SEMA, which is not exactly short on highlights and is becoming increasingly important as a trendsetting springboard for the European tuning scene. This presentation also represents the GLK premiere on the North American market, where sales are scheduled to begin in January 2009. “Our GLK is a character bursting with expressiveness, and a new model for us within a young market segment in the U.S.,” comments Mercedes-Benz Head of Design Gorden Wagener. “We selected SEMA in Las Vegas as the backdrop for its first appearance in North America because we want to take advantage of the show’s glamour and to underscore the highly individual character of the GLK. An SUV with an edge that is so refreshingly alternative, demands a somewhat alternative setting.” Good market prospects are being forecast for the compact GLK in the U.S. The visual appeal and functionality of its exterior design make the GLK a distinctive and versatile vehicle, as do its exceptional handling and excellent safety characteristics combined with superb comfort both on and off-road. GLK-Class freely interpreted four times Four fundamentally different rebuilds make one thing abundantly clear – the GLK-Class is one of the most multi-faceted SUV models ever, and one that retains its distinctive character, even in the face of somewhat unconventional modifications. With each respective tuner fantasy and the help of some exotic ingredients, the SUV has been turned into an exclusive specialist for the road, beach, city or rally stage. “We wanted to see what kinds of interpretations were inspired by our GLK and how they would further sharpen this very strong character. The tuners opted for completely differing approaches, demonstrating the potential of our GLK concept,” continues Gorden Wagener. * With its GLK Pikes Peak Rally Racer, RENNtech from Lake Park, Florida has created a motorsport vehicle inspired by the unlimited class of the legendary Pikes Peak Hill Climb in Colorado. The drivetrain of the RENNtech GLK is complemented by a hybrid module that guarantees excellent acceleration figures. * BRABUS, based in Bottrop, Germany, represents the German element of this tuning fraternity and presents the Widestar, a production-ready, high-performance on-road vehicle that also pays tribute to the distinctive refinement of vehicles bearing the three-pointed star. * GLK Urban Whip is the name given by Boulevard Customs from St. Petersburg, Florida to its creation, which makes its entrance with a significantly widened bodyshell, massive 26 inch wheels and a mighty on-board entertainment system that, according to the figures, is likely to have an impact at full blast of seismological proportions. * The team at the Legendary Motorcar Company from Ontario, Canada, which is more commonly associated with the restoration of American muscle cars, created The GLK Rock Crawler. The exotic design for snow and sand includes a winch system that can provide wakeboarders and snowboarders alike with the necessary impetus. The base vehicle for Boulevard Customs, Legendary Motorcar and RENNtech is the series production GLK350 with a 3.5 litre V6 engine generating 200 kW/272 hp, while BRABUS opted for the diesel-driven GLK 320 CDI 4MATIC. The base versions of all models are equipped with the 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic transmission. (...)
Novitec Rosso 599 GTB Fiorano Bi-Kompressor
Bi-Kompressor V12 Engine with 808 hp / 594 kW and 823 Nm for the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano A maximum rated power output of 808 hp / 594 kW, a peak torque of 823 Nm and a top speed of more than 340 km/h, all the result of a high-tech twin compressor conversion: NOVITEC ROSSO endows the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano with even more superlatives through professional tuning. The tuning is accompanied by an aerodynamic-enhancement kit developed in the wind tunnel, three-piece 21-inch wheels with correspondingly calibrated sports suspension, a high-performance brake system, and exclusive interior options. As for the Ferrari F430, NOVITEC ROSSO relies on mechanically supercharging the six-liter four-valve V12 engine of the F599 with two compressors for boosting performance. The cogged-belt driven high-performance superchargers produce a maximum boost pressure of 0.39 bars, and are a lubricated by their own dedicated oil circulation. The pre-compressed air is then cooled down to a level conducive for added power by a large intercooler that itself is cooled by a dedicated water cycle. A specially designed intake manifold with high-performance injectors and sport air filter round out the conversion on the intake side. In addition, NOVITEC ROSSO installs custom exhaust manifolds calibrated to the twin compressors, and the NOVITEC ROSSO stainless-steel quad sport exhaust system with a tailpipe diameter of 90 millimeters. The exhaust note can be adjusted using the ‘manettino' switch on the steering wheel from 'sporty yet discrete' to ‘definitely sounds like racing.' The NOVITEC ROSSO engine management coordinates the perfect interaction of all conversion components. It not only ensures maximum power yield but also exemplary smooth running and maximum longevity. Compared to the production engine the NOVITEC ROSSO Bi-Kompressor V12 gains 188 hp / 138.4 kW for a new maximum of 808 hp / 594 kW at 7,800 rpm. At the same time peak torque grows by 215 Nm to a new peak of 823 Nm at 6,300 rpm. In combination with the F1-Superfast transmission, whose six speeds are even faster and more precise to select thanks to longer NOVITEC ROSSO carbon shift paddles, the tuned F599 delivers performance on the highest super sports car level: The sprint from rest to 100 km/h takes just 3.5 seconds. 200 km/h are reached after just 9.7 seconds. And a sprint time of 25.5 seconds from 0 - 300 km/h places the tuned two-seater firmly among the fastest accelerating sports cars in the world. Top speed is more than 340 km/h. The NOVITEC ROSSO Bi-Kompressor engine conversion is available for 46,900 Euros. Such performance places extreme demands on perfectly balanced aerodynamics. The NOVITEC ROSSO designers went into the wind tunnel to develop aerodynamic-enhancement components that add some visual pizzazz to the 599 and make it more aerodynamically efficient. The front spoiler lip is attached to the production bumper and reduces lift on the front axle. Its aerodynamic counterpart in the rear is the rear diffuser that can optionally be combined with a rear spoiler. The NOVITEC ROSSO rocker panels calm the airflow between the wheel houses and with their large air inlets optimize the supply of cooling air to the rear brakes. All NOVITEC ROSSO aerodynamic-enhancement components are also available in a clear-coat carbon-fiber version. The exterior can be further refined with black side markers and black taillights as well as with LED auxiliary brake light and reversing light. The extensive high-performance package for the 599 also includes custom-tailored NOVITEC ROSSO NF3 light-alloy wheels with high-performance tires from PIRELLI. The tree-piece wheels with five double spokes measure one inch more in diameter than the stock wheels. The front axle is fitted with size 9Jx20 rims and size 275/30 ZR 20 tires. The rear wheels in size 12.5Jx21 with size 355/25 ZR 21 tires provide maximum traction. These king-size wheels offers space for the high-performance brake system developed in cooperation with Brembo. The brake uses the largest components currently legal for street use. The front and rear features steel discs with diameters of 405 millimeters and six-piston brake calipers. Together they offer an optimal combination of maximum stopping power and endurance. Bound and rebound of the height-adjustable NOVITEC ROSSO sport suspension can be adjusted to each 599 owner's individual preferences. In addition the suspension also offers a highly useful lift feature that is activated by pushing a button in the cockpit. The front of the car can be raised by 40 millimeters to navigate safely past obstacles such as parking ramps or speed bumps without scraping the front apron. The suspension automatically reverts to its original position once the car reaches a speed of 80 km/h. NOVITEC ROSSO offers the ultimate refinements for the interior of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. The list of options ranges from a leather/carbon-fiber sport steering wheel with flattened bottom for easier entering and exiting, to aluminum foot pedals, to a completely new interior in any color and material combination imaginable.
